A Master Woodworker at Twelve
A twelve-year-old girl from Croatia engraved a cutting board for us — and the result left even experienced craftspeople speechless.
When Luka, just twelve years old, presented her first hand-engraved cutting board, we knew immediately: there is real talent at work here.
With a precision and patience that impressed even seasoned craftspeople, she worked the Lagerfeuer logo into the wood to the millimetre — by hand, without a template, guided only by the original and a deep feel for the material.
The board, made from acacia wood — durable, water-resistant and naturally food-safe — became a one-of-a-kind piece. Not because of the logo alone, but because of the story behind it: a young girl from Croatia who approaches her craft with genuine fire and creates something that endures.
